Elena Gonzalez

International Soloist and Professor of Oboe in Andelfingen, Dübendorf and Schaffhausen

Since 2007 Elena Gonzalez lives in Switzerland. She graduated successfully from the Zurich University of Arts (ZHdK) with Thomas Indermühle and received a scholarship from the ‘Sa Nostra-Foundation’ to support her living in Switzerland.

In May 2009 Elena Gonzalez graduated with the concert diploma, and in June 2011 with the Master of Arts in music education, both with excellency. In March 2013 she successfully graduated from the Conservatory in Montbéliard with the concert diploma, also with excellency.

Since 2015 she is extending her field of work by taking lessons with the jazz pianist Thomas Silvestri.

Besides her soloist work, Elena Gonzalez is performing with several chamber music groups and works temporarly with various orchestras. Her educational work includes lessons in Andelfingen and Schaffhausen, furthermore she was lecturer for Oboe teaching methodology at the Zurich University of Arts (ZHdK).

Elena Gonzalez is co-initiator of the „Doppelrohrtag“ (double reed day) in Switzerland.

In 2014, she published her edition of “Le Tombeau de Couperin” by M.Ravel with the publishing house of Edition Kunzelmann.

Elena Gonzalez has been trusting Rigoutat since 2007.
